How Much Nauru Citizenship Costs in 2026: Contribution, Fees and Family Examples

Nauru has the shortest price list I work with: one contribution, a few fixed fees, and amounts per person. The figures below come from the Program Office contribution page and Schedule 1 of the Amendment Regulations 2026, checked on 25 October 2026.
The contribution
| Who | Amount |
|---|---|
| Main applicant, filed before 31 December 2026 | $90,000 |
| Main applicant, standard rate in the regulations | $115,000 |
| Each dependant aged 16 or over | + $2,000 |
| Each child under 16 | $0 |
| Each sibling of the applicant or spouse | + $15,000 |
The contribution is not returned in any form. It is paid after the letter of approval in principle, not at filing.
A point that is not fully clear: the gazette notice for the Special Project “The Iruwa Initiative” set the $90,000 term from 29 January to 30 June 2026. The Program Office site now says the discount applies to applications filed before 31 December 2026. I quote the official site and ask the agent to confirm in writing.
Fees paid at filing
| Fee | Main applicant | Each dependant |
|---|---|---|
| Application fee | $5,000 | $2,000 |
| Due diligence | $6,000 | $3,000 if 16 or over |
| Benefactor due diligence (if someone else pays) | $3,000 |
These are not refundable if the application is refused.
Fees paid later
- Bank due diligence and transaction charge: $1,200 for the applicant alone, $1,700 with up to three dependants, $2,200 with four or more, plus $1,000 for a benefactor.
- Passport: $500 per passport.
Worked examples (current offer)
One adult: $90,000 + $5,000 + $6,000 + $1,200 + $500 = $102,700. This matches the BRIDGES calculation. At the standard rate it is $127,700.
Couple with two children under 16: contribution $92,000 (spouse adds $2,000, children add nothing), application fees $11,000, due diligence $9,000, bank charge $1,700, four passports $2,000. Total $115,700.
Couple, a 17 year old child and one parent: contribution $96,000, application fees $11,000, due diligence $15,000, bank charge $1,700, passports $2,000. Total $125,700.
Adding a sibling to a single applicant: + $15,000 contribution, + $2,000 application, + $3,000 due diligence and + $500 passport, and the bank charge rises to $1,700.

Adding family after citizenship
Schedule 3 of the regulations prices later additions separately and much higher: a spouse $30,000, a child aged 3 to 18 $25,000, a grandchild $25,000, other dependants $35,000, while a child up to 2 years old adds no contribution. Each also pays a $5,000 application fee and $6,000 due diligence if 16 or over. In practice it is cheaper to include everyone at the start.
What is not in the official list
Translations, apostilles, notary work and the agent’s fee. The Program Office itself says agents charge an advisory fee and give a full breakdown at the first consultation. Ask for it in writing.
For the procedure behind these payments see the application guide.
Questions and answers
Is $90,000 the full price?
No. It is the contribution for the main applicant. Add the $5,000 application fee, $6,000 due diligence, $1,200 bank charge and $500 passport fee, and one adult pays $102,700 in official costs.
What does a couple with two young children pay?
With both children under 16: $92,000 contribution, $11,000 application fees, $9,000 due diligence, $1,700 bank charge and $2,000 for four passports, $115,700 in total.
Is any money returned if the application is refused?
The application and due diligence fees are paid on filing and are not refundable. The contribution is paid only after approval in principle.
When does the $90,000 offer end?
The Program Office site says for applications filed before 31 December 2026. The gazette notice that created the offer gave 30 June 2026, so confirm the current terms with your agent.
